About Me
I am a poet, editor, and translator with a professional history in tech and policy: I help arts organizations and other non-profits navigate digital transformations.
After writing poetry privately for two decades, in 2021 I took an extended hiatus from my career in technology and health policy to focus on writing. My bilingual English/Spanish debut poetry collection, What Remains, won the Dolors Alberola International Poetry Prize and is forthcoming from the Andalusian press Editorial DALYA. Finishing Line Press released my chapbook, Rooted and Reduced to Dust, in 2024.
My Eastern European and Jewish immigrant heritage threads through my poetry. I studied Zen Buddhist approaches to writing under Natalie Goldberg and Subhana Barzaghi, and hold degrees in Economics and Public Policy from Fordham University and Baruch College of the City University of New York. I received Certification from the International Association for Professional Writers and Editors (IAPWE) in 2022.
Beyond my creative writing, I devote my time these days to supporting artist community. I serve MacDowell as their Senior Systems Project Manage. I am a member of the editorial team at Seventh Wave Magazine, an arts publication focused on social issues.
An inventive international cook and avid hiker, I’ve backpacked through 74 countries. I advocate for a free Palestine.
