About Me

After writing poetry privately for two decades, in 2021 I left a long career in technology and health policy to focus on writing. My bilingual English/Spanish debut poetry collection, What Remains, won the Dolors Alberola International Poetry Prize and is forthcoming from the Andalusian press Editorial DALYA. Also released in 2024 is my chapbook, Rooted and Reduced to Dust, from Finishing Line Press.

In addition to publishing two dozen individual pieces of poetry in the last two years, I received Certification from the International Association for Professional Writers and Editors (IAPWE).

My Eastern European and Jewish immigrant heritage threads through my poetry. I studied Zen Buddhist approaches to writing under Natalie Goldberg and Subhana Barzaghi, and hold degrees in Economics and Public Policy from Fordham University and Baruch College of the City University of New York.

Beyond my creative writing, I devote my time these days to freelance copywriting, editing, grant writing and research, website design, and Spanish translation. My preferred clients are socially conscious enterprises that share my passion for building equitable systems in self-sustaining communities.

An inventive international cook and avid hiker, I’ve backpacked through 74 countries. I advocate for a free Palestine.
