About Me

I am a poet, editor, and translator with a professional history in tech and policy: I help arts organizations and other non-profits navigate digital transformations.

After writing poetry privately for two decades, in 2021 I took an extended hiatus from my career in technology and health policy to focus on writing. Finishing Line Press released my debut poetry collection, Rooted and Reduced to Dust, in 2024. I’m honored to serve on the editorial team of The Seventh Wave, a queer- and BIPOC-led literary organization that features writing on social justice.

My Eastern European immigrant heritage threads through my poetry. I studied Zen Buddhist approaches to writing under Natalie Goldberg and Subhana Barzaghi, and hold degrees in Economics and Public Policy from Fordham University and Baruch College of the City University of New York. I received Certification from the International Association for Professional Writers and Editors (IAPWE) in 2022.

Originally from New York City, I now live in a small mountain town south of Mexico City, where my neighbors’ roosters, ducks, and donkeys set the soundtrack of my life. I am cultivating an emerging practice of translating contemporary Latin American poetry.

An inventive international cook and avid hiker, I’ve backpacked through 74 countries. As a Jewish person of conscience, I advocate for a free Palestine.
